Role description: Your goal will be to ensure that every Podcast, clickbait or message has the right punch, That our social media content is both unique and holds outstanding quality that adds the highest possible value and contributes to building stronger brands. You will oversee our content publishing needs in a fast-paced work environment leading a team of writers and designers to develop and curate compelling and engaging content for our audience. Your primary duties will include content strategy, proofreading and editing, analyzing readership data, and developing our content strategy. Ultimately, you will produce engaging quality content that speaks to our audience and boosts engagement with our brand.
You will be a thought leader at the cutting edge of industry trends, able to create a marketing strategy and campaigns that generate inbound leads, gains followers, and creates a positive image for the company, the CEO and the brand itself. You will be also responsible for regularly evaluating the success of marketing efforts and tweaking marketing strategy as needed.
Lead the development and creative expression of Vedal Media Group’s marketing assets across video, design, social media, copywriting, and photography
Proofreading, restructuring and editing articles by content writers
Creating a strategy for and updating our website and social media pages with new content
Fact-checking articles and optimizing written pieces to increase user engagement
Improve illustration in collaboration with marketing and design teams
Optimize published pieces using SEO guidelines and working with our inhouse SEO’s
Monitor web traffic and user engagement (e.g. bounce rates)
Proven work experience as a Content Editor, Web Editor or similar role
Being a disciplined and empathetic manager while leading a talented team of creatives
Manage, monitor and lead the content team, define and follow up their KPIs
At least 6+ years’ of progressively complex experience in a creative role in Journalism or Social Media environment
BSc in Marketing, Journalism, Communications or related field
Proven master of social media management tools and content management systems (e.g. WordPress)
Familiarity with SEO and keyword research
Excellent writing and editing skills in English
Possess a high-level of creativity, attention to detail, and project management skills, as well as a talent for writing custom and engaging content for social media
Exceptional visual intelligence and a knack for hunting out angles that makes content stand out
Be an impactful storyteller who is comfortable in any and all areas necessary for conveying our brand mission
